This photograph was taken on Christmas day in 2015 at Maine’s Old Orchard Beach. My mother and I decided to go to the beach on this unusually warm winter evening and saw a stunning sunset. The water draining from the beach during low tide provided a beautiful reflection of the darkening sky. Growing up in Maine you have a strong appreciation for nature and the great outdoors. Maine has such beautiful beaches, forests, rivers, mountains, lakes, and even a small desert in Freeport.
