One of my favorite weekend walks consists of a 1.25 mile trail that encircles Mackworth Island. The leisurely hour walk treated my parents and me to stunning views of Casco Bay and Portland, and evenly juxtaposed the warmth of the island with the cools of the ocean.
Mary Zambello is a interior architect and graphic designer working in Portland, ME. Inspired by a strong research-based, human-centered design program at Cornell University, she understands the importance of form, function, and the impact of the built environment.
