With spring just around the corner, I’m looking forward to being out on the water again! My favorite paddling spot is on Kennebago Lake. Moving into the more protected river waters, I never know what I’ll see; from various bird species, to playful otters, to even a moose if I’m lucky. Looking back on one of my paddles last summer, I clearly remember coming across this young tree growing out of a withered tree trunk. Seemed like a perfect depiction of Mother Nature’s version of life after death.
