Scenes from Zion National Park

Zion National Park is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

Utah is famous for its national parks. Most famous parks in Utah allow visitors to stand above beautiful canyons and rivers and look down; however, Zion is unique in that your line of sight is always brought up to the heavens. The photo below is of Angel’s Landing, a 1488 ft tall rock formation.

The highly strenuous hike to the peak of Angel’s landing requires a 0.5 mile portion at the end of the hike that is very narrow, steep, and requires support chains to avoid a thousand foot drop on either side of you. You are rewarded with amazing views, but this hike is not for the faint of heart. Another less terrifying hike is the Canyon Overlook Trail; the view at the end of this fairly easy hike is also stunning.

This photo captures an illuminated waterfall that fills the famous emerald pools that can be seen on the Emerald Pools hiking trail.
