Last summer my sister and I went backpacking across Switzerland. This photo captures the famous Jet-d-eau-fountain where Jet d’Eau literally means ‘water jet.’ This is a huge fountain on Geneva Lake that reaches heights of 460 ft due to water expulsion speeds of 120 mph. Visitors can walk out onto the platform on the lake and look straight up at the fountain peak while standing close to its base. We were lucky to also see a rainbow on the already impressive fountain.
