One of two lakes that sit on the top third of Mt. Washington. This was taken at Lakes of the Clouds Hut on an overcast day. I had just left the hut and had begun the ascent when I stopped to grab this scene sitting at the bottom of the steep cone. This is some of the purest water due to the lack of animals at 5000 feet in the sky, and it’s one of the quietest, most peaceful places I’ve ever been and it gets more and more beautiful every time.
