There are few things more magical than sunset at Arpoador in Rio de Janeiro, looking out over Ipanema. Beyond the epic landscape, contrasting the glittering city with the natural peaks of Dois Irmãos, or Two Brothers, it’s common for the crowd gathered to clap and cheer as the sun goes down, celebrating the end of yet another day in paradise.
The daughter of a nature lover and a travel agent, Becky has spent the better part of 25 years beaching, camping, touring, teaching, and taking photos all over the world. After studying English and Psychology at Cornell University, she worked in media research in New York, LA, and San Francisco and is currently teaching English in Florianópolis, Brazil through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Becky is a firm believer in finding adventure in your own backyard and hopes to inspire and empower others to seek out moments of awe on a regular basis.
