The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew was founded in 1759 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003. I had never been, despite living in London for some years now. When I heard about an orchid festival being held there, I decided to take some friends and check it out. Needless to say, it was incredible. A whole Conservatory was completely filled with orchids and other tropical plants from Brazil. There were flower in soil, in water, making up arches and covering pillars, some even hanging from the ceiling … needless to say it made for some trigger-happy fingers! Here are some highlights:
