As someone who travels a lot, I often forget that beauty can be found in the simplest places.  In this case, I was birding in an orchard looking at dozens of beautiful hummingbirds when a sudden rainstorm caught us by surprised.  As we all scrambled for cover and waited for the rain to pass, I noticed a single apple with beaded water droplets that felt more beautiful than any of the jeweled birds for which I came.
